Getting them on is a cinch with the well-placed pull-tabs. Underfoot, the sole strikes a good balance between firm support and responsive cushioning, making them suitable for long days of walking on varied surfaces, from city pavements to light forest trails. I’ve personally hiked demanding routes like Panorama Ridge in these, and while they aren't dedicated hikers, they performed admirably. For a waterproof shoe, the breathability is quite good; your feet don't feel like they're in a sauna, though in peak summer heat, like any waterproof shoe, they can get a bit warm. Arch support is adequate for most, but those with very high arches might consider adding an insole for extended wear.
